Turner Auctions + Appraisals is pleased to present a Seized Property Auction on Sunday, October 18, 2020. Featuring property from Southern California, the sale includes gold and silver coins, noted wines, artworks, signed sports jerseys, jewelry, books, armed service medals, decorative items, and more. In addition to the seized property are coins from an estate.
The wide range of currency includes Morgan and Peace silver dollars, Australian Victory in the Pacific $15 gold coins, American Eagle gold coins, Lion dollars, a 1999 misprinted one-dollar bill, and limited-edition proof sets. Among the wines are bottles and/or cases of 2012 Silver Oak Napa Cabernet Sauvignon, 2009 Château Léoville Barton Bordeaux, 2006 Dom Pérignon Champagne, 2005 Château Rauzan-Ségla Bordeaux Blend, 2015 Château Larcis-Ducasse Bordeaux Blend, and 2010 Château de Beaucastel Châteauneuf-du-Pape Rouge.
There are a variety of artworks – paintings, photographs, lithographs, sculpture, and tribal arts; artists include Jill McVarish, Jackie (Jacquline) Hurlbert and Lou Stoumen (signed). Jewelry offerings feature ladies’ rings with diamonds, men’s wedding rings, and watches from Rolex, Girard-Perregaux and others. Among the sports memorabilia are sports jerseys for hockey players (Budaj, Pearson, Nieuwendyk, Carter, Toffoli), a lot signed by Paul Tagliabue, and a football helmet signed by Peter Max. A lot of five books includes a first edition of In Cold Blood, and an early edition of Uncle Tom’s Cabin.
